Based on Article 125, paragraph 1 of the Constitution, Article 7/ç of law no.8577, dated 10.2.2000 “On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania” as amended, and the Regulation approved by the General Meeting of Supreme Court Judges, “On the election of a Constitutional Court member”, today, on September 12th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. the Special Meeting of Supreme Court Judges arranged the voting procedure for the election of the member of Constitutional Court, based on the list submitted from the Justice Appointments Council for this purpose.
Closing the voting process, the committe ranked first Mr. Ilir Toska with 13 (thirteen) votes. Under these conditions, Mr. Ilir Toska is elected a member of the Constitutional Court.
This decision is promptly notified to the Speaker of the Parliament, the President of Republic, the President of the Constitutional and is submitted for publication to the Official Publishing Center.
