Albana BOKSI was born on October 7th, 1974 in Shkodra. From 1993-1997, she completed her studies at the Faculty of Law, “Luigj Gurakuqi” University of Shkodra. She completed her studies at the Albanian School of Magistrates from 1998-2001 and received the title “Magistrate Judge”. In 2011, she completed “Master of Science” degree in criminal law at the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana.
In years 2000-2001, she was appointed “judge” to the District Court of Tirana by the decree of President of the Republic dated 15.09.2000, where she carried out her professional practice. From 2001-2006, she was appointed judge to the District Court of Elbasan by the decree no.3111 dated 02.10.2001 of the President of the Republic. In 2006, she was appointed judge to the Appeal Court for Serious Crimes in Tirana by the decree no.4793 dated 28.02.2006 of the President of the Republic. She has worked as full-time lecturer at the School of Magistrates from May 2011 to May 2014 . In years 2014 - 2019, she has held the judicial office of the judge of the Appeal Court for Serious Crimes in Tirana and in December 2019, she was appointed judge to the Special Court for Corruption and Organised Crime. With decision no.208, dated 11.10.2019 of the High Judicial Council, Mrs.Boksi has been appointed to the position of 'Ethics Advisor', at the High Judicial Council, without being detached from acting as a judge.
Mrs. Boksi has an abundant experience in teaching at several public and private universities. She has attended several national and international activities in the field of law. She is the co-author of some publications and research works such as: “Judicial Ethics Handbook”, “Right of access to court in civil cases” etc, and also member of the expert group for the drafting of the E-Commentary on the Criminal Procedure Code. She speaks three languages: English, Italian and French.
She was appointed judge to the Supreme Court by decree no. 12031, dated 19.03.2021 of the President of the Republic.
