MIRELA FANA(GJYLAMETI), Justice of the Supreme Court was born in Tirana, on March 6, 1966. She is married and has two children. Mrs. Fana has received a Law Degree from The University of Tirana, Faculty of Law in 1988. She was an Investigator at the Investigator’s Office at the District of Mirdite in 1988. In 1991, she served as an assistant-judge at the District Court of Tirana. From 1992-1995 Mrs. Fana was a Prosecutor near the Prosecutor’s Office at the District Court of Tirana, and in 1995 worked as a Legal Inspector at the Cassation Court.
From 2005, she has been a Professor at the Faculty of Law Luarasi, and has several professional qualifications in the field of law: the Criminal and Penal Procedural Law, the Civil and Civil Procedural Law, Family Law, Juvenile Law, Legislation against Domestic violence and so on.
From 1996 till April 2009 she worked as a Judge at the District Court of Tirana.
The President of the Republic, by the Decree no.6133, dated 14 April 2009, nominated her member of the Supreme Court of Albania.
