ARJANA FULLANI, Member of the Supreme Court, was born
in Tirana on September 3, 1965. She is married and has two
children. She received a Law Degree (with Distinction) from the
University of Tirana, Faculty of Law in 1997, and in 2007 the
title Master of Laws (LLM). Justice Fullani has been a
Prosecutor at the District of Tirana Prosecutor’s Office in
1987-1992, while from 1992 till 1994 was appointed Judge of the
District Court of Tirana. From 1994 till 1995 was Judge at the
Tirana Court of Appeal. During the period 1995-1997 has been
Director of the Magistrates’ School. Justice Fullani has been
Legal Assistant at the Supreme Court in 1997, and from 1997 till
2000 has established and directed Women Advocacy Center. From
2000 till 2008 has been Director of the Magistrates’ School.
Justice Fullani has taught “Civil Law” and “Civil Procedural
Law”, as an external professor at The Faculty of Law, and has
been also an external professor at the Magistrates’ School. She
has participated in several national and international training
activities organized in various field of law, and in regional
and European meetings organized from training centers for
judges. At the beginning of 90’s and on she has been a founder
and/or a Board member of several non-for-profit organizations
such as Women Advocacy Center, Refleksione, Open Society
Foundation for Albania-(OSFA)-Soros, The Albanian Helsinki
Committee, The Albanian Medical Ethic Committee, The
International Association of Women Judges etc. From 2003 till
2008 Justice Fullani has been a member of the Legal Reform
Commission, and a member in the working-groups for the drafting
and discussion of several laws.
The President of the Republic by the Degree no. 4879 dated
10.05.2006 honored her with “The Medal of Recognition”
The President of the Republic by the Degree no. 5791 dated
08.07.2008 nominated her member of the Supreme Court.
