ARDIAN NUNI, Justice of the Supreme Court, was born
in Korça, on January 1, 1969. He is married and has one child.
He received a Law Degree from the University of Tirana, Faculty
of Law in 1991. In 1997 he received the scientific degree of “
Doctor of Juridical Sciences” and in 2004 the title “Associate
Professor of Law”. Justice Nuni was appointed Judge at the
District Court of Korça in 1991, while from 1992-1993 served as
a Judge and Vice-Chief Judge at the District Court of Tirana.
From 1993 till 2007 he was a full time professor at the
University of Tirana- Faculty of Law, where severed as Vice-Dean
(1993-1996; 2003-2007), and as Head of the Civil Law Department
(2002-2007).
Justice Nuni has received a number of foreign post-graduated
qualifications in the field of law, has been member at the
Senate of University of Tirana and in several professional
organizations. He is author and co-author of various books and
monographs in the civil law field and has lectured in graduated
and post-graduated programs. From 1993 till 2007 he has
practiced law as a member of the Tirana Chamber of Advocacy, and
from 1998-on he is an external professor at the Albanian School
of Magistrates.
The Albanian Parliament, by the Decision no 48, dated
13.07.2006, appointed him as a member of the High Council of
Justice, a function from which he resigned due to his
appointment as a member of the Supreme Court.
The President of the Republic, by the Decree no. 5252, dated
April 4 2007, nominated him member of the Supreme Court of
Albania.
