Near the Albanian Supreme Court you can find for consultation:

1. The Supreme Court’s civil decisions from 1945-2005
2. The Supreme Court’s penal decisions from 1945-2002
3. The Supreme Court Military College’s decisions from 1947-1987
4. The Special Tribunal of State Security Service’s decisions ( this Tribunal existed for a limited period of time)

Library

The Supreme Court’s Library is one of the most long-standing legal libraries in the Republic of Albania. It is open every day for Institutions and external readers such as Judges, Prosecutors, Lawyers, Students of the Albanian Magistrates’ Scholl and those coming from the Faculty of Law/University of Tirana.

In the Library you can find legal literature from several branches of Law such as: penal, civil, commercial, administrative, constitutional, family, jurisprudence, journals, judicial practice of the Supreme Court etc.

The Library’s archive consists of 850 Titles, with a total of 3000 Volumes
The legal literature dates from 1925 till in nowadays. It is in the Albanian, Italian, French, English languages and some Encyclopedias in Russian.
With the coming into force of the Albanian Constitution the Supreme Court publishes its decisions in a monthly volume during the whole year. These volumes are distributed free of charge to all the Courts in the Republic of Albania.
A special attention is paid to the Supreme Court Unified Decisions, which guides the judicial practice in general, and parties and their lawyers or prosecutors in particular.
The Supreme Court’s Library, due to its collaboration and connection with other similar institutions, enriches its archive with contemporaneous local and foreign literature.
In this Library you can find also collections of legal professional or well-known associations, boards journals. Such as the collection of the journal “Drejtesia”, “Tribuna Juridike”, “Te Drejtat e Njeriut” “Klinika e Ligjit”, “E drejta parlamentare dhe politikat ligjore”, “Pajtimi”
In the Library a special attention is paid also to the oldest collections which have an estimate value for the legal science, such as:

Albanian Jurisprudence from 1929-1938
Laws, Decrees-Laws and Regulations from 1925-1935

In the Library you can find penal, civil, administrative, constitutional, commercial, legal literature in Albanian and foreign languages.
